1991 850i, 6 spd.
When cold, engine starts normally.
Upon acceleration, engine cuts out and comes back when throttle is lifted. The cut-out is all 12 instantly (not the reduced power mode). The failure mode can be recreated in the driveway by reving the engine to 4k rpm (I can smell gas after and believe it is the ignition, not the injector electronics). Once warmed up (minutes after temp guage normal) the engine is strong at all rpm.
I preheated Motronics, EML, wireharness in computer box and injector loom in the center by the intake manifolds, coils and ground/power points (I could find) without success. Swapped known good DK motors without success.
Feels like the ignition ground or power has a cold solder joint or a sensor used by both Motronics.
