Yeah that video of the GTO probably had a few simple modifications to give it the edge on the GT. I'm still rather impressed by the times an auto GT is putting out. Lets not forget that horsepower is not the only thing that accounts for acceleration. The GTO's curb weight is close to 300lbs over the GT's, accompanied by a wider final drive ratio (3.46 GTO, 3.55 GT). I'm not exactly sure on their drag, but it would also make a difference at speed. When you consider that both cars are still equally quick, which car is the better? I guess that is just up to which we like more.
