Cool Indie Shop's Alignment Machine Doesn't Accept Requests!

Yesterday, I took my 2010 Honda Accord EX to my local aligner/mech. to have the toe touched up.

While he was able to achieve the negative thrust angle I requested via his Hunter rig, he told me "the machine won't let me through the process if I try to set front toe to anything but 0.0" My request was for just 0.03 toe in on the fronts, left and right. Honda allows for up to 0.08 toe, in or out, for a total of 0.16, so I know my request was not that draconian.

What's really going on here? The guy is not a 'McDonalds' aligner - just "get em in the green" - he actually knows his angles and listens to customer requests
