Im pretty new to the bmw scene. I saw an ad in the local classifieds for a 84 bmw 318i. i called on it and found out that it has 17" team dynamic wheels, full bilstien suspension,(shocks, struts, springs) 5 speed, new cam,.....but the guy said he took the fuel injection out, and swapped in a weber carb. why would someone take this out? I would think it would be for perfomance. the guy seemed pretty honest. i test drove it today and i liked it a lot. it stuck to the road VERY well. the odometer says 131k, but it stopped before he purchased the car so who knows how many miles. body is in pretty good shape some minor dings and what not. He's had it for a year and put on the wheels, suspension, carb, and cam and has all the recipts. this guy put a lot of work into this and hes not asking too much....2300. i think i might be able to get him down to 2g's. how does this sound? any advice would be great thanks guys.
