Blatant promotion and advertisement of a specific brand of product or service is frowned upon at the very least. Some have come here and responded to posts written by people trying to get to the bottom of their car troubles and posted something like 'when you figure out what's wrong you can get the parts here' and providing a link to a website and doing it on multiple posts. That's annoying and the person doing it just looks like an idiot. Some people have even had the nerve to create a thread with a fake subject line. Something like 'need help' or something meant to draw you in then all you get is a link to something completely irrelevant. Just stick to car talk (except in the off- topic threads, pretty much anything goes there) don't try to advertise or promote here and you should be fine.
