the gearing is completely redone for the new f4i. In addition to being honda's first fuel injected bike, they also made the gearing much closer, particularly in 5th and 6th gear to make top end more easily attainable, while not dramatically increasing it. Redline on the bike is 14k, and I shifted into 80 at second at around 12.5k, so I probably could've hit 85-90 before bouncing off the limiter. the old f4s might not be able to hit that type of speed in 1st, but I assure you the new f4i has no problem doing so. I would say I can post a video, but it's kinda hard to film one handed, and a passenger needs to hang on, all I can say is go get a new f4i and test ride it, see if you can't produce the same results
