You obviously don't have your facts straight. BMW has a plant in the US that builds X5's and Z3's. The 3, 5, and 7 still are built overseas and shipped here. And what difference does it make where a car is BUILT? The BMW is still german-engineered. It doesn't matter where the car rolls off of the line. Basically you are saying that the same parts built using the same manufacturing process in Germany is somehow superior to a plant in America duplicating the work.
BTW, Audi has plants in other places than Germany. I believe the first TT rolled off the line in a plant in Hungary.
