Question Identify this part please

1999 Plymouth Breeze 2.0L - I'm a novice auto mechanic, but good at following directions and generally don't get myself into trouble I can't get out of. Any help would be appreciated

When I replaced the fuel injectors in this car I came across an air intake (or outlet) tube that wasn't connected to anything on one side and I cannot see any place that its supposed to connect to. In the attached photo, this hard black plastic tube (indicated with the yellow arrow) runs from under the air intake resonator box, across the fuel rail, and then bends back in the direction of the passenger side strut. At that point, it was just laying there not connected to anything. What is this tube and should it be connected to something? Thanks!
