I’m back and this time with a car that everyone is talking about right now, the hot new Mercedes-AMG GT! But before we get to that, 2 minutes of silence please. Because the SLS is dead. The top performance car from Mercedes has been discontinued. This is a pretty big deal for car guys. And the reason why the death of this very special car is so significant is because along with this car Mercedes also killed off what was one of the best engines ever made by the German manufacturer – the M156/M159 6.2 litre naturally aspirated V8 which had horsepower figures above 500 and powered the SLS AMG, E63 AMG, C63 AMG and many other high performance AMG models.
