Just made an accidental discovery... at a cost though!
I thought I'd use isopropyl alcohol to clean any grease off the exhausts I'd coated in black enamel gloss before spraying Alclad chrome. Not such a great idea as it started to affect the paint. Not the end of the world, but it lead me to think if it would work as a paint stripper as I'm re-doing the frame to get a shinier finish. I've used Halfords (UK auto store) primer on this and it's been slow to come off, but the alcohol has worked straight away. Despite the initial mistake, this will save time!
