Yes its common to resurface the flywheel when you are replacing the clutch.
i did'nt think they were doing any replacement of the clutch,just the slave cyl
but if they machined the flywheel they also replaced the clutch set up
take a look at your reciept see what parts were replaced.that would make more sense for the labor charged because the trans has to be removed
but if the clutch was not replaced i dont know why they would resurface
the flywheel
