91 Cutlass Cruiser Stereo Issues

Hi guys,

I have been trying to install a new radio (a Pioneer DEH-X5600HD) in my '91 Cutlass Cruiser SL but can't make the front woofers (with Dimensional Sound badges) and rear speakers work for the life of me. They worked a couple of years ago while the factory radio (Delco Tape/AM/FM) worked but now that the new head unit is in I only get this awful shrill sound from what I understand to be tweeters in the dash and from no other speakers.

I carefully connected all of the wires (except the useless dimmer wire) using a harness. ALL of the other electronics work except for the cigarette lighter and the power antenna that constantly blows fuses. The radio makes the tweeters play despite this and the other speakers didn't work for the 2 minutes before the antenna blew another fuse. Gotta love those power antennas...

Is there an amplifier somewhere that is broken? Can anyone shed some light on this? Cheers.
