well, back on my trucks. I really didnt want to build another one for this year (made 2, never before..lol) , but i was cleaning my showcase when i noted my little old fellow, a model I build nearly in another life. Probably around 1992 or so on, and was a model that alwayss gave me big prizes in competitions, surely for its rare dust dirt and rusty appeal, so uncommon on civil trucks, even more back in time.
Model was this, original kit 782
the idea to refurbish it in some way was because i damaged it with a too strong spotlight back in time. This end in some melting part on the roof. Not so many noted it, but I did, and as you wellknow modeller eye ends always over there.
and then I start to think at how to cover or correct this bad mistake, maybe a used sheet, or something covering it.....but in reality thats a very high part on the vehicle and any kind of truck moving naturally celans it. My usual little nice leafs arent enough for such, unless I use the 1:1 oak leaf...but no. SO why not place in its roof one of that so common air spoilers those trucks nearly always used to improve aerodynamics between tractors and trailers?
Italeri also provided it in the box...point is..find NOW spare parts of a model I did in 1992...and thats not so easy at all....
