"#4 cylinder misfire"?

I overheated my truck when the heater bypass hose broke on me while going to work one morning, and warped the head. Truck was down on power, lousy gas mileage etc. Replaced the head with a rebuilt one and performance improved on acceleration, but getting a strong miss when not under load and just cruising. Service engine light comes on and Autozone check tells me it is a "#4 cylinder misfire". Compression on all cylinders check out good. Put in new plugs, wires, cap and rotor, but still getting same code. Swapped #3,#4 injectors, but still get same code. Any ideas what might be causing this?
Stock '97 KA24E w/ auto tranny. 124K miles.
