I'm sorry, I can't believe I said that and no one corrected me....remove the hood, and then separate engine from Tranny(block up the bottom of the tranny so it stays at the same level before separating....makes reinstalling the engine easier)....

Then raise up the engine a couple of feet with a cherry picker, and remove the bolts to the flexplate....

This is easier than taking the engine/tranny out together as a unit, completely out of the car....
