How bad is it?

I ran into a cement construction barrier the other day. First accident in over 25 years of driving. I must have hit just right because I was only doing about 40 and sheared the left front wheel off the car. The lugnuts are still attached to the housing but the wheel looks like a donut with jagged remains of aluminum wheen inside (still inflated) crumpled up the left front quarter panel and deployed the side curtain airbags. I skidded about 25 - 30 feet on the undercarriage before coming to a stop.I don't know how I could have kept from doing damage to the strut and linkages in the wheel housing. My question is, how bad is it? Totaled? or fixable? Not sure which I would prefer. The car is only worth about 10k. I'm not sure how much damage I did. Naturally I'm anxious about what to expect.

Any thoughts? Much appreciated.
