How do I reach the bearing to spray WD-40 on it?

heater fan, 740/940 makes a lot of scraping noise (not airflow noise) (quote=Tomsriv"...There is some bad caulk or sealer somewhere above the fan that allows water to seep onto the fan and rust the bearing. Once the bearing rusts the fan makes a LOT of noise. One band-aid fix is to spray WD-40 on the bearing every now and then."
