Agreed! Reads like a well-worn lock tumbler.
I've replaced mine, years back. Don't remember many details, ...but remember that I did get replacement through Ford. Some how they made the tumbler match the shape of my existing (4) programmed keys ... so no work was required at doors or lift-gate,
