Re: Adventures in Doing Your Breaks For The First Time and It Becoming A $%*# Story

Replaced the hose... $35. Test drove around the block several times and everything felt great. Then it began again. Drivers side front caliper begins gripping gradually to the point the engine really has rev hard to go. Then I thought some more and read a little of the super sorry caliper pamphlet and it actually gave me one more idea. I removed the copper washer between the caliper and the hose connection bolt because it mentioned some "later model vehicles" may not require the washer if the bolt was part of the tube or something to that effect. I'm not around the pamphlet right now. Also, noticed that that area on the caliper was finished pretty smooth. Anyway it didn't help. No leaks that I saw by the way - but same problem. I guess for now more thinking and calling around.
