I have a 93 j30, I tried to do the same thing several years ago and the blades I purchased did not work either. Anyway I needed them for a state inspection and had the place that did my oil replace them. I will research it, I have been doing some work on mine of late and found some places for parts ( cheap ). They might have them, what does the manual say.
