Smile 99 Transport Trans Noise

I have a 99 transport with 180K miles. I've noticed excessive noise coming from the transmission pan when it is idleing and it gets loader when the trans is in gear. Van runs good with plently of power, the torque convertor will not stay locked in at cruising speed but it has been that way for a while. I've been expecting the torque convertor to go but the noise doesn't seem to be coming from there unless it is traveling through the trans and coming out through the pan. It still shifts good and runs out good just when your cruising the torque convertor kicks in and out. This noise is new this week. In January I did head gaskets, front and rear seals as well as oil pan gasket. Plugs were replaced while it was out and I maintain this thing like clock work. Any ideas on this noise?
