Question 2004 Aztek clicking noise

My wife drives a 2004 Aztek and it has just under 160,000 miles on it. She told her car was making a baseball card on a spoked bike wheel noise. You know when you used to stick a baseball card on your bike to get that cool sound. It just does it a random and is loud. It has only happen twice so far I drove the car for about five miles and it didn't do it for me. The car currently needs front rotors an intake manifold gasket and sooner or later a half shaft. The half shaft started clicking because a put a hole in cv boot after changing the control arm bushing. So I sealed up the cv boot. Before sealing it up I put some grease in the cv boot to try and buy some time. It worked hasn't clicked since. Stupid car. So I thought for a while and got the car hot enough for the fans to kick on. Thats not the noise. The fan on the drivers side of the engine compartment spun freely when spinning it by hand. The passenger side fan spun and stop everytime. Any guesses???????????
