Something else you may want to check is the steering stabilizer. It's a shock absorber mounted between the centerlink and the frame. Used to be a bigger deal with biased ply tires, but if you pick up a vibration and the stabilizer is shot you're going to want to have a good hold on the steering wheel until you get her slowed down.
