Bought A '78 Cortina when I got to N.Z......This was in the days before secondhand Jap imports were allowed,and cars were waaaaaaaaaay overpriced in NZ....Running A 2.3 V6 mill on CNG [poor man's NOS! ],took it 4 times round the clock and crippled several motors in the process...
That was sent to the auction when we had kids....it wasn't worth getting rear seat belts fitted......
the 'Mazda' Ford Laser s/w followed, then the Diseasel.......
SHIT even Judge runs a better car now...Can I sink any lower?

Judge- your 89 HAS to be a mk 3- the Mk4 (The one that replaced the KF Laser for a while- is the Mk 4- nevertheless- an 88 Escort is quite a rare car
