hello veedubmechanic
I could really use your help. I bought a 1999.5 jetta VR6 with an auto trans. I am having a problem with the speedometer. Its the plastic ring on the differential like you had described in an eariler post. To change this piece does the transmission have to come out of the car or can it be changed through the inspection cover by the firewall. your help would be very much appreciated.
Thank you
Richie

my son has a 2001 jetta 2.0 /auto trans . problem? he will be driving at highway speed and all the sudden the car will start to lose power and begin downshifting back to first gear , then will have a rough idle from 0 to 500 rpm flux between the to rpms he can solve the problem and be able to continue driving only after upluging the throttlebody and repluging it back, then it works for an indef amount of time!
