Hey Tim. What kind of air intake do you have? Do you have a stock air box with a disposable paper filter?

I have never had a sebring trans apart so I cant be of much help. I apologize. Have you cehcked the level? If its low, it wont shift. About the best I could recommend is to remove the pan, replace the filter, and refill it with the proper fluid amount and type (whether its dexron or aft+4). I do know that sometimes when the fluid warms up, it thins out and if the filter seal is leaking, it will lose all trans line pressure and your trans wont shift. I have even seen some cars (GM ones though) that shifted perfectly fine when cold, but when warmed up, they slipped. On most of them, a simple pan drop and filter change fixed the issue. If you remove the pan, pay attention and look for any metal shavings or bits of metal. If it looks good, and doesnt shift when you get it back together, if you can, get it scanned by the dealership and see if any DTC's are present that indicate the trans issue.

People in the Sebring Forum don't seem to be any help so I decided to message you. My sister has a 01 sebring with a rebuilt trans (prior to purchasing) and the trans is acting up. At first it wouldnt shift when trans warmed up and it would just rev which i thought might be the input speed sensor on the trans.. She hasnt been driving it like this its just moving it in and out of driveway. I replaced the input sensor and no luck.

New problem.. when car is put in autostick the dash does not display what gear it is in

Nice Job. The way the light diffueses is what I was afraid of when I was thinking about doing mine. I think there are wider angle LED's, thought I saw some on ebay at one point. Anyways, nice work and thanks for the photo's.

Well, here is the final product - CD player with LED replacements. All of the buttons are lit, but the button group to the right of the presets is dim, as are the knob displays on the left (I think it is just the way the light is diffused; the LED's are working. Anyway, it looks better in real life than the photo. I'm happy with it.

Well, I had given up hope of getting it today, but then at 7:PM UPS showed up with my CD player. Right on the case is written "no lights", and sure enough, their aren't. The arrays are configured somewhat differently on this circuit board, but what took me an hour to define before took 10 minutes this time.
The green LED's don't seem to produce enough light and I like the way the red looks, so I think I'll go with that. Time well spent my practice on the cassette deck. I'll post a pic when I get this one done. With all red (or maybe a yellow or two) it should light up nicely!

Yeah, thats just it. If they arent burnt out before its shipped, after being bounced around the brittle filiments break. Its not a problem for you though because your replacing them.

Nice work on the tape player. What color are you going to put in the cd player?

I posted one kinda crappy picture at http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=944232 , but it'll give you an idea of what's possible. Thanks for the warning on the CD player. I wonder how many of the bulbs will be out when I get it!

Wow, nice work! You should write sort of a tech article and include a few pictures for us to drool over.

I wish I had known about this sooner. My stock deck burnt out a few bulbs back in the summer time so I just sent it in and had them all replaced. It costed 20 bucks which wasn't bad, but they were replaced with regular incondescant bulbs. The company didnt do LED ocnversions. If any more burn out, I'll make sure to get ahold of you.

Let me know when you get your CD player done. While your in there, get a cotton swab with some rubbing alcohol and clean up the laser. I had some issues with mine skipping on all CD's that weren't 100% new. It was so Annoying!
