You’re wasting your time in that Brakes thread under Engineering. Sadly, Automotive Forums’ lovely lawn is becoming overrun more and more by weeds(bots, etc) with the exodus of users from sites like A/F to Facebook, Tick Tock, etc.
Hi Rod, Long-time-no-speak! You have helped me so many times in the past. Saved me so much money. I had hoped that I would always have a 3.0 Vulcan Taurus, love the car! Unfortunately they are disappearing. Whilst I do still search for another, it seems unlikely that I will own another.
Although I may not own another, I still am fond of the car and would like to do whatever I can do to encourage the longevity of the model. I can't think of anyone that has done more for the Taurus community than you. Thank you!
Long story short, I have a hard bound 1996 Ford Taurus service manual with the SHO insert. If you would like, it I will send it to you. I hope it will be used to prolong others Taurii.
Let me know if you can put it to good use.

*side note my Air bag light has been on for three years - was told by dealer clock spring needs replacing- thanks to the internet and other posts - I checked under drivers seat and the wire was broken - now repaired . All good
April 11th 2016 - had DCCV replaced by a mechanic in town I know. Still no heat - not able to fully check A/C bit cool out. Will do soon
Whenever I do the self diagnostic with the buttons as suggested - I get #8888 only - should I be using a different pattern?
On way to Storage area , approx. 2 miles from my place - engine light came on I pulled over -it said engine failure and was going to overheat. I replaced #1 fuse and sat there for half an hr. to let engine cool. then drove to storage area -with no engine problems - but no heat or A/C Dec 2015 in storage
