Well I'm sure you've long since moved on but in your situation I would just find a used motor to swap in, as a rebuild would be twice the price and not get you any more power or reliability than a good used engine. As for NA mods? Intake, exhaust, maybe a chip, flywheel and pulley but that's about it. After that you're looking at a lot more money for increasingly small amounts of power. And that should get you up around 250-260hp so if you cut some weight it will still be a pretty quite ride.

Broke,
I stumbled across your thread "Destroying the world in your Z32" today. Although old, it was incredibly informative. I was curious if you might be able to take the time to answer a few questions of mine.
I have worked on and dealt with mustangs my entire life, but just recently purchased a 93 300zx NON-turbo or N/A (i believe). I bought the vehicle as a project car to play with the amateur drift league in my area. However, it will be driven on street as well.
I am not looking for a big money 500+ hp monster, rather a mid 300's range toy. The engine has to be rebuilt anyway as she was barely able to run at purchase (dropped cylinders or something). What would you suggest that would be most cost effective? Cams? Bored out? etc.. Of course im going to replace exhaust from headers back, chip it and what not. But i have not been able to find anyone to offer advice for a rebuild.
Any advice or opinion would be GREATLY appreciated.
thanks for your time
