Intermittent brake pulsation

This is the first one for me. My wife's 05 Camry needs new pads on a regular basis - see signature.
Last time I replaced pads with Monroe CX908 and bought new Raybestos rotors (and saved used for the next time turning) from Kragen. All was well until last week I noticed a weird vibration in the brake pedal. The reason I call it weird:
a. It pulsated at about the same frequency on low and high speeds
b. it sometimes completely disperses
I've never experience intermittently warped rotors, have anyone here?

Side note - i overhauled the rear brakes about 20k ago, cutting drums and replacing shoos and hardware because she rode with PB on. So i doubt it could be the rear brakes but who knows.
Any ideas, please let me know.
Thanks!

It was not posted on ebay originally but on Craigs list but when we wanted to buy it, both of them mentioned they want to do it thru ebay. Again both are living in the Army base camps, both claim the cars are fantastic and both are single owners and the cars have best records. Can't beleive why the price is so low...what is the catch? Are the cars paid off....do I have to carry their loans...they are not saying so.

Please suggest shoud I buy it or not...what am I missing?

2002 Camry Moon/Sunroof Fix

I just got my hands on this 2002 Camry and it has a couple of problems that I need help with. First, it has a moon/sunroof that is broke and out of alignment. Can someone advise me how to get to the motor so I can disconnect it. I am assuming that you get to it thru the overhead console but I can not figure out how to pull it down to get to the motor wires.
Second, where can I get replacement parts used or new (other then dealer)for another upper engine mount which is shaped like a dogbone.
Thanks

99 5s-fe radiator replacement advice

Hi guys. The radiator in this Camry has developed a crack in the upper tank, so it must go. I bought a new one (I hope it fits) and I plan on installing it this weekend. I've never done this before, so I'd appreciate any help. I have the manual, I'm reading it right now...

First things first:
1. What coolant do you guys use? I'm pretty sure I'll only find the Toyota long life one at the stealership, I'm trying to avoid that... I'm hoping you guys have some suggestions.

2. I'm going to be doing this at a friends, Should I keep the car on a slight incline? Which way and when? Ideas on draining? Do I really have to open the engine block drain plug (not that I know where that is...)?

3. I also bought a thermostat, didn't even know what it was, but I read it's not a bad idea to change it. One issue I had with this car was that in winter turning up the heat didn't have the expected effect; it was warmer but no where near what other cars could do. This bothered me most on a road trip in winter to Utah, so I didn't pay much attention to it, as it didn't bother me much afterwards, living in California. Also, when engine braking (it's a manual tranny) on long downhills the temperature gauge drops to minimum. It kind of makes sense, but again I haven't experienced this with other cars. Could these 2 symptoms be caused by a bad thermostat?

4. I was thinking about getting rid of the old coolant in the system this way: after installing the new radiator, fill the system with water and take the car for a spin around the block then drain it again. What else should I be doing?

5. The thermostat I bought doesn't appear to have a jiggle valve (as per the manual); what's a jiggle valve?

6. I read some posts that recommended flushing the engine with a can of cleaner... What cleaner and how do I do it? Won't the cleaner damage the headgasket?

Your tips are welcome, thank you!

I remember reading a while back about something you can add to get an auxilliary input (for MP3 player) to a Camry stereo. Seems it was close to $100.

Is there anything newer / better / cheaper out now? Would like to add an MP3 player to wife's car for Christmas.

Thanks!

I need ti remove the brake booster on my 03 camry, 4 cyc. Do it need to disconnect the master cyclinder brake lines and remove the booster and master cyclinder together. Or can I only remove the master cyclinder and booster separate. Does the booster require bleeding, and any sepcial assembly or disassembly. PLS advise

91 Camry Automatic seatbelt

The automatic seatbelt on the drivers side had stopped working and the passenger side had become intermittent.

I opened up the wiring harness coming out of the drivers door and found multiple broken wires, replacing those took care of the issue on that side.

I opened up the wiring harness coming out of the passenger door and found several cracked but no obviously broken wires. I replaced the cracked wires and all seemed well for about a week at which point the seatbelt went back to functioning intermittently.I tend to think the wires in the door are no longer the issue as the seatbelt failed to retract over multiple engine start stops spanning several days time and then it started working again without the door having been opened or closed.

I reopened the passenger door wiring harness and found no cracked or broken wires. I ohmed out the wires and found no opens. Any thoughts as to the culprit?

2003 Camry LE Brake pedal stuter

When the engine is running (4 cyclinder), and the brake pedal is pushed or tapped, it make a jitter or stuter while it is travelling down. If I hand tap the brake pedal, it make same noise. Feels like the piston in the master cylinder is not moving smoothly during its travel, feel like it bites on its way down when pushed but none when travelling up. It happens when the car is in idle and not moving or moving and at a speed. I replaced both front rotors and new brake pads, with no improvement, The braking power is fine on the car.

Could the master cylinder, slave cylinders, need bleeding. Or could it be the seals in the master cylinder are worn or need replacement. Any check or thoughts I can do to isolate this problem.

Would appreciate:)

help with voltage issues

I went out for a bit was at the shop for about 40 mins or so and when i went to leave the battery was dead. All I was getting was the click of the engine relay and a check engine light. It was during the day and I had the stereo and AC on, on the drive there.

I replaced the battery with a brand new one, I also replaced the relay. The Stereo/Amp had previously been installed in this car but i did have a duel battery kit, power inverter, xbox, in dash lcd as well.
Seeing as I'm not putting the xbox in here again i didn't bother installing all the other stuff again.

Today i borrowed a volt meter and reconnected the stereo/amp.

I don't have the tools to diagnose the way the manual describes but this was my finding with a standard volt meter across the battery terminals.

Car off - 12.7v across terminals
Car running - 13.85v across terminals
Car running high beam on + blower on hi + stereo on - 13.0v across terminals
Retest car off - 12.5v across terminals

The Temp where i am at the time of testing was 34°C

The manual shows Standard voltage:
13.9 – 15.1 V at 25°C (77°F)
13.5 – 14.3 V at 115°C (2390F)

At a temp higher than 25°C being .1v lower seems OK to me but it's still on the low end of the scale.

Any ideas on what is going on here and why my battery went flat?
I popped the battery into my other car and it fired up without a problem.

Could it be possible that i have the same problem as these people? http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=3985776

After finally getting around to fixing the Camry after it over heated. I replaced the Water Inlet Housing, did a compression test, drained and replaced the fluids and all seems OK, however....

There is a bit of a tick coming from the motor (Cam cover area)... any ideas on what that could be... I remember this was already there before the overheat though.

No spark
No gas (I put direct current using a wire from the battery positive to the wire positive to the pump and the pump starts, so that means that I have no current to the wires of the pump and no spark too)
I wonder if there is any main relay/fuse that controls both the gas pump ignition and distributor sparks
somebody please help me on this.

Hi,

I am having the 1998 Toyota Camry XLE V6. Last year I have changed the starter contacts. This year the battery is discharging very fast and unable to start the car in the morning. This issue starts when the temperatures are coming down.I want to know what I have to do to fix this issue.

Thank You,
