Please bear with me Another Start issue Asked differently 94 Bonneville

Please bear with me for those who have answered this stuff more than they cared too. I have a 94 Bonneville, my car dies at stop lights sometimes too, but not worried over that right now....my problem is this.....I insert my key, wrestle the lock mechanism and try to start my car--I get a small "boink" noise in the dash it sounds like and no action. My security light does NOT FLASH, it will come on for a few seconds each attempt then goes out. My inflatable restraint light WILL FLASH 6 times and goes out each attempt. All lights and options seem to work just fine. If I leave the key on and crawl under the front and jump the posts on the starter with a screw driver she will fire right up-( same thing anytime she stalls-hot or cold-will start right up imeadiately)---Is there a relay or something I need to look at? While ideling it seems to stumble once in awhile and lose all power also-lights will dim for a flash then catches itself it seems..(maybe not when it actually does stall?)--Any help would be appreciated. All the post I have read were a little diffrent than mine--temp doesnt matter here, and I have no cranking what so ever without the screw driver.....Thanks Roger.........rbubnersr@hotmail.com

Bad grounds burn out crank sensor?

My 92 Bonneville has an intermittent start problem. It seems to be worse when the weather is cold outside. The engine cranks fine but gets no spark. The shop I've taken it to has said "the crank sensor is faulty" 4 times now and replaced it that many times in a little over a year. I subscribed to Alldata so I could look up the wiring diagrams and it seems the PCM has the grounds for that circuit inside it. Is it possible the ground is poor causing high resistance in the circuit which in turn burns out the crank sensor? The sensor is just a hall effect device so something has to be screwing it up further down the circuit. Ideas?

My '98 Bonneville recently lost a fuel pump and regulator. Upon replacement it runs fine but it threw a PO442 Emmissions, Evaporator something or other (small leak). Any idea what or where to look for this? It ran bad when we got it back and we had the code reset. After a bottle of fuel injector cleaner it runs great but the code came back. I reset it tonight and we'll see if it reappears.

I was going around many of our towns roundabouts. At the last one i got around it and went to accelerate to speed limit when my car while in gear faced to be in neutral. Now it seems i can only drive in first gear (from 0-20). While driving it makes a small grinding sound and gets louder as the rpms go higher. What can i do to fix this? Do i need a whole new transmission. I did also noticed that my transmission fluid is on add more. I am going to wait for a repsonce back before i add more.

Thank you,
Andrew

Noise from trans on cold start

I had my 4t65e trans rebuilt by a mechanic friend of mine and drove after picking it up approx 50 miles running various errands. At one point had to brake suddenly then accelerate and noticed slippage. Got home checked fluid level and had to add 2 1/2 qts. Now on cold start makes mild noise for about 10 seconds then goes away. Trans shifts fine runs good. Not leaking. Anything I should be concerned about?

Ok now my bonnie really dont even want to shift into any gear it will just rev up like its in neutral...i dont know what is wrong i checked the fluid a little low added some to it and it still does it, could there be a solenoid bad or something..sometimes it takes a while to get into gear and u can feel it catch while others it just kinda makes a vibration like the tcc is not locking up....

DTC-22 Throttle Position Sensor Error (signal low)

The "Service Engine Soon" light on my '93 Bonneville has been off and on recently the DTC says my problem is the Throttle Position Sensor. The car's running great but the SES light comes on almost always at start-up, sometimes it goes out when driving normal highway speeds and usually comes back on when slowing down and idling. Sometimes it stays on constantly.

Anyone have any experience with this? Since the car's running great am I pushing my luck by ignoring the SES light or should I spend the $56 and replace the sensor now and hope that takes care of the SES warning?

Thanks for any suggestions,
Mark
