I let off and kind of gently pump it it kicks in. New fuel pump about 18 months ago--new plugs, wires, intake gasket. Any help appreciated. Could it be the catlytic converter? Thanks

I have a bad abs module on my 99 GMC seirra. 2500 4x4. I have seen some rebuild services on ebay. They claim they can reprogram the module to a better than factory new for a cost of 129. plus two way shipping. I am wondering if there is anything to there claim. Has anyone ever done this? I know it is a 600 + repair for a new module.

I think I've located my vacuum leak.
Sounds like it is coming from inside the fender, above the drivers
side tire. I have the chilton manual for this '89 c/k1500 TBI but it
gives no info on anything that would be inside there, and I can't
seem to get in there. Anyone know which hose I should pull on,
or if I could maybe spray hardening foam in there to seal up the
leak?? :)

I have a 1996 GMC 1500 with a 5.7
Problem was it wouldn't turn over, wouldn't start, it had spark, but coil was cracked. Changed coil, vehicle started, went about 500 yards, engine just quit. Wouldn't start, no spark.

Cranks over now, but no spark. The code reader reads P1345.. I have changed the crank sensor, checked fuel pressure, changed the sensor in the distributer, put a new coil on, changed rotor button and distributor cap. removed distributor, checked the gear on the end for wear which was ok. Changed spark plugs, still no spark at all. I have researched the forums here, but am ready to give up on fixing this.

Also checked all the fuses and they were all good.

Hey guys, I know that this subject has been brought up a couple of times, but i recently bought a set of HID's for my truck, and when i start the truck when its dark out, my DRL's automatically turn on. I wouldn't care, but every time i start it, when it cranks, the lights flicker, and it causes the lights to go out. I then turn the brights on and off to reset the HID's, and they work fine after that. I know there is an override to turn off the DRL's, but that still doesnt stop the lights from flickering when i start it. Soooo, my question is how do i turn the DRL's off completely, giving me complete control over what lights are on and when. I've read something about putting a resistor somewhere, but I'd have no clue how to do that. If that is my only option, where do i find step by step instructions on how to do that? Thanks!!
