Dakota Seat Belt Buckle

Hello,

I have a 90 Dakota p/up. The driver's side seat belt buckle is busted. It will not accept the seat belt to secure the driver. I have been up and down the internet and cannot find one. I just need the buckle with the sensor to have the light turn off on the dashboard. I do not care about the color.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I just need this one piece to have a safe truck. LOLZ.

Thanks.

Transmission options for 1988 Dakota

I have a 1988 Dakota that needs a transmission. It went out after towing a 1992 Honda Civic on a tow dolly through the Colorado Mountains.

The Dakota has the 3.9 liter fuel injected engine. What years of Dakota transmission will fit this motor? Currently it is a automatic transmission. I am interested in a standard transmission and will have to acquire the parts for a clutch.

Any other makes and models of transmissions that will fit this motor?

Thank you,

Mark

dakota no spark/fuel. FIXED

94 dakota. 3.9 v6. park it. the next day it wont start. cranks fine but no fire. i put some gas in the carb and it fires on that gas only. so, obviously it's not getting fuel. plus, i can't hear the pump power up so i changed the fuel pump relay. nothing. now, i know it's not the pump, but they all say it is so i change it out. big waste of time and money. still nothing. put more gas in the carb and now have no spark. took the coil and stator to advance auto where they check them both. i end up buying a new stator. $40. still nothing. i read a ton of posts on here where it might be this or that but nobody ever comes back to say " this is what fixed it ". so here it is.there's a mess of wires under the box on the fender well that has all the relays. open it,pull pump relay, take circuit tester and see if you have, with key off, power to one of the pins [#30]. if not, take that box off and follow the red and white wire about a foot. there's actually 3 wires that end up being soldered into one. it's at that solder point where they go bad. i did read about this from a mechanic on this forum, but sometimes there's too much info on this site. anyway, thanks to that guy. i could have fixed it for nothing, but at least i won't be needing a new fuel pump any time soon

2001 QC 4X4 snap sound when braking

Hi all,
Whenever I push on the brake pedal (regardless of speed), I hear and feel a SNAP coming from the front end. The vehicle stops fine and does not pull to either side. I can lightly push on the brakes and hear the snap sound, then remove my foot from the pedal, do it again and receive the same snap sound. I have removed the front brakes (which are not worn) and re-greased the back side of the pads, this seemed to help for a short while but now right back to the same old issue. I am thinking it might have something to do with the caliper spring. Any idea's or suggestions? Thanks.

My hubby has a 91 Dakota with a 2.5 l engine, and it has started bucking and jerking. It does not do it all the time, but it will give you whiplash when it does. He has replaced plugs, wires, and fuel filter. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks so much.
