(2004 Mazda3s Hatchback)

I turn on my car, doesn't sound weird at all.

If I stop DEAD, and accelerate and make a RIGHT turn, the car 'chugs' and make weird noises. As soon as I straighten the wheel out, it goes away. If I make a left turn, it doesn't happen. I thought it might be something stuck in the wheel well, but it's not. I'm kind of out of ideas but I appreciate any help you guys may be able to give. It's not a suspension thing, it's definitely from the engine bay. It makes noise when I'm in gear, not while in neutral or park.

Thanks, really need some help here!

99 Protege Electrical Problem

I have a '99 Protege with AT. About a year ago I replaced the battery and alternator after it died driving home one night. Last night the battery light came on when I was at a friends house. I drove it home without any issue. Today while driving the dash lights began to flash and the radio shut off, then the car died. I haven't had a chance to check the alternator yet since the car is stuck on the road but it seems odd that a near new alternator or battery would go dead so quick. Any thoughts on what else I should look for?

Ps. It has been around 25-30° at night here, I know batteries don't like the cold but this seems like something different.
