FYI... the driver side seat heater quit. i checked a few things out it turns out the backrest (lumbar) heater had an open circut ( open line ) i removed the seat cover starting at the bottom and found a broken wire right at the bottom, repaired the wire and now it works great! so just for your reference, check continuity on the bottom and back of the seat before you buy a new seat. i called chevy they wanted $250!!!:shakehead for a new bottom seat cover (the only way to buy the heating unit is to buy the cover and the heating unit as one)

*I tried to set the timing to 0 and it ran very bad and stalled. The only way it runs decent is to advance it well ahead of the timing marks. To set the timing on this 5.0 is there anything I must disconnect first? There is no vacuum advance. Reply to spalomba@sc.rr.com if you can.*

98 Monte Carlo climate controls

It has the dual climate controls and now that the weather is getting cold.. I notice the drivers side blows cold air when the heat is supposed to be on. Passenger side works fine.

Is there a way to disable the drivers side all together until I have time to rip apart the dash to find whats causing the issue? (without shoving rags in the vents :p )

i have a 99 monte carlo with the 3.1 motor in it and i was told by a mechanic that one of the valves was burned out. the car will start but it sputters and threatens to cut off. it was hard to start at first but after the spark plugs were changed out the care started again but it still cuts off sometimes. if anybody may know what this may be or have any info i would greatly appreciate it :banghead:

Just put a new fuel filter in about 4 months ago. When it gets a little warm, it won't respond to me hitting the gas (I was doing 70 last time) then it shuts off as I slow down. I can start it back up but it soons shuts off again. Crankshaft position sensor? My buddy said that. Amy ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thx.
