Replacing the Car battery is easy, but doing so without impacting on a modern car is not.
Many data can be lose, not only the GPS stereo etc but also in some cases, the electronic control unit can lose data, keys settings, etc. sometimes all parameters.

One solution is to connect a small lipo battery type three-element, the load is 12.4 v, to the going terminals themselves, before replacing it, with this system, the electrical installation does not lose the voltage at any time so that the change battery is no problem as seen in the video.

I have a 92 S-10 blazer that finally leaked the charge out of the air conditioner, it had an oily compressor pulley for several years. Since the thing was working and slowly lost its charge would I be ahead to replace the seal for around $10? It is a Harrison HR100T compressor. If there is still freon pressure would I need to replace the dryer? I think I should flush the system (if that will remove the oil) and/or take the compressor off and turn it upside down. So I would know how much oil to install. If anyone has done this I would appreciate any tips! It quit last summer when the pressure dropped enough so It would not start. As far as I know it has never had any freon added. It had 70K miles when I got it in 1998. I have over 200K on it now. It lived in Alaska till 2005 so the A/C was not used much until after '05. I wonder If I should replace all the o-rings and such that are replaceable? I still have some R-12 around so that is not a problem.

I am trying to buy a new car soon. I am a 29 year old single woman with no kid. I think I probably do not need too much space. I want a sedan compact or midsize.

I don't know much about cars, so I think when I will go to the cardealers, they will realize that pretty soon and probably take advantage of it. So I need as much info as possible prior to going.

What are brands that you can recommend, my budget is lower than $25k. And what type of financing won't be a total rip off?
Would you advise me to buy a brand new car, or is it better to buy a preowned certified car? I was told Honda civics are nice, reliable and affordable. What do you think?

Weird shudder from the back of my 1998 Trooper. felt like the parking brake was stuck.
It was.
All messed up with a greasy gunk that could only have come from the wheel bearing.
Studied my manual and went to work.
Removed brake caliper and speedsensor and parking brake parts, and pulled out the axle/bearingholder assembly, removed the circlip behind the bearing holder and tried to slide the axle out....... and tried a little harder.... and tried again. etc etc.
tried wd40, tried heat, tried a bigger hammer, tried setting a couple of bolts between the hub and the bearingholder and then backing of the nuts untill they would pushing the hub out of the bearingholder..............added heat..........and the biggest hammer......
45 minutes thinking this isn't too bad, rest of the day pure frustration.
Anyone who ever changed the bearing and/or seals in the back of their troopy must have somehow gotten that darn axle out. Please tell me what I missed.
Thanks

About a week ago I got a stereo system installed. 2 amps, a sub, new speakers all around, a double din head unit, and the metra kit for the ac and whatnot. About 2 days after installing it my car wouldn't turn on and I had to jump it to get it going. Drove home from work. Parked the car. Next morning got in and it turned on no problem. Got to work and the car was dead. Tried to jump start it but still didn't turn on. Bought a new battery and when I went to turn the car on the lights on the dashboard were flickering on and off in the key accessory position. Tried to turn the car on completely and nothing. Left it at my job(which is a body shop) and came the next day to see if it would turn on but now it's even worse. Nothing will turn on. Not the dash, not the emergency lights, nothing. Checked all my fuses and my fuses are fine. Before I call an electrician to come check it out I wanna know if any one on here has any suggestions. Please help!!
