Thank you man A1337 :) gigatron 04-20-2003, 04:35 PM What kind of horsepower and torque would an e30 318i turbocharged (dunno what amount of boost give an example) make... what kind of 0-100km/0-60mph and quarter mile would it have ;) Just wondering. It's a dumb question heh... but has anyone done it what kind of results did they get? I remember people doing it... but not really giving any results/specs of a 0-60 and 1/4 A1337 04-20-2003, 04:51 PM well ive seen one do the 1/4 in a 12.79:eek: A1337 04-20-2003, 05:47 PM A1337 04-20-2003, 05:48 PM D2daT2daM 04-21-2003, 06:54 AM get a m3 engine swap (e36) and your shit will be flying, especially if you get the euro version with the 6 speed A1337 04-21-2003, 08:27 AM sorry man, thats kinda lil out my budget... but hey if your willing to help me get the money ill be more then happy :) D2daT2daM 04-21-2003, 06:46 PM Originally posted by A1337 sorry man, thats kinda lil out my budget... but hey if your willing to help me get the money ill be more then happy :) I dunno man because i dont think they make a 318t turbo kit, it would be have to be customized, most owners with a 318t what they do is pop a m3 engine in their bay then buy a turbo for it , but a turbo kit from AA cossts mad money O_ARMAND 04-22-2003, 11:21 PM There really isn't a bolt-on turbo application for the 318i. Everything would have to be custom-made. Although I am pretty sure that Downing Atlanta have made a supercharger system for the 318's. Check them out, www.downingatlanta.com mind you it is pretty expensive. I have a 318is E30 and I bought a turbo a while ago. Slowly buying all the parts I need and then have it installed by a shop here in Montreal. These guys know their sh#$%t , they'll install a turbo on a can opener!!!! Good luck. D2daT2daM 04-24-2003, 09:27 PM the best thing to do prolly is to get a sr20det motor (nissan turbo) the sr20 motors are made to handle 400 crank hp that means when u do get it installed you can get a boost controller and raise the boost some and have some good power gaoins, the sr20det from s13 240sx run for 1300$ on ebay so everythin with conversion should be about 3000$ i reckon look here http://members.shaw.ca/turbofiero/sr20det.htm evo2885 04-27-2003, 11:03 AM Hey!!! There are turbo kits for the E30 318i 1984-85 but they are located in other countries like Britain, Finland, Australia and etc. But you won't find any here in the U.S. These are international websites with E30 318i Turbo Kits: www.proturbo.fi www.tdi-plc.com PEACE!!!!:smoker2: :grey: :sun: :bandit: D2daT2daM 04-27-2003, 11:22 AM either a costly swap m3engine + turbo or cheap and effective too swap sr20det evo2885 04-28-2003, 07:27 PM Hey!!! If your gonna swap a BMW engine, swap it w/another BMW engine and not another engine by another company. Its like insulting the car if you do that. Do what I did. Get a 1995 M3 engine and add a turbo kit to it. It will fit very nicely into the E30 engine bay, no problems what so ever but it will be kind of expensive. And will run you to about 14 000 to 18 000 dollars. PEACE!!!!:smoker2: :grey: :sun: :bandit: turboman318 03-05-2004, 04:00 PM www.kormanfastbmw.com they have a turbo kit for the 318 DinanM3_S2 03-07-2004, 02:58 AM Im not a big fan of forced induction in BMWs, keep it natural, the fastest road car has a N/A Bimmer V12 in it, theres a reason theres no turbo/super charging. If you insist however, go super charge it. turboman318 03-07-2004, 01:10 PM the reason there's no turbo/supercharging is because they get power from a larger displacement v12 engine, exactly, but for a small engine the most substantial way to increase power is a turbo or supercharger vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
