beat by a sentra se-rrabalero 04-20-2003, 02:01 AM i have a h22a accord 4th gen stock (just made the swap) and i went to race and got beat by this sentra 94 se-r 2 times.....i know im stock but i supossed to have more torque and horses but he beat me!!!!!!no he did not have turbo or nos!!!!because i ask him........so what you think?if i put a intake thats going to give like 5 or 10 hp but i dont think that is going to make a difference because he was beating me at launch....can you guys tell me at what revv should i launch???? :( frozen_Joth 04-20-2003, 07:26 AM I'm not to sure, there's a Sentra hatchback I can't beat on a straightaway but on the curvier roads I can take the Sentra. I love to race through winding roads, its soooo fun. civicHBsi91 04-20-2003, 11:02 AM just practice driving, ur probably not capable of driving the h22 to its potential yet KrNxRaCer00 04-20-2003, 02:34 PM Originally posted by civicHBsi91 just practice driving, ur probably not capable of driving the h22 to its potential yet agreed...:o fatninja19 04-20-2003, 04:52 PM It's obvious that driving skill is lacking since you stated that he was beating you "at launch." rabalero 04-21-2003, 12:33 AM no i dont think he had nos because we live in tijuana mex.and over here to put a nos system is too hard since not everybody has 500 for a nos system!!!!and since over here if we get racing by the cops we just give them 40 bucks and they let us race all the the time we want!!! I think was my error cuz i was launchin at 5000 revvs iand i read in other forums that if you launch in VTEC you lose time so i think thats my problem i need to practice practice practice......next week im going after him..... Fliquer 04-21-2003, 02:46 AM What kind of power does a H22 put out? maxspeedhonda 04-23-2003, 07:55 PM Thats a dissapointing story. My friend has the same exact setup as you with i/h/e and he pulls consistent mid-high 14's. I beat a spec V that was spraying when I was only running 6 psi. itsmeek 04-24-2003, 01:17 PM Originally posted by civicHBsi91 just practice driving, ur probably not capable of driving the h22 to its potential yet agreed, the h22 is a great setup :) IntegraB18LS 04-26-2003, 11:22 PM you were launching at 5500 rpm? woah try launching at about 1500, dump the clutch and hit the gas to the floor......... if you dump it at 5500 your just going to spin.... when you get a bad launch it is very hard to recover. Kyle Cyprus106 04-27-2003, 10:52 PM Yup, practice as much as you can. And dump earlier... burning out is not the objective there superbluecivicsi 05-03-2003, 03:50 AM You aint driving right maANG........ but gettin spanked by a sentra.....when you got an h22 :( Keep ur head up. 94tegRS 05-03-2003, 05:58 PM I dont think 1500 is right either. I never have driven an accord with an H22, so I guess it might have the torque to pull hard from low revs, but in m6y friends B16 teg, if you dropped it at 1500, it is slow tilit gets to like 4 at least. I know you get more grip at the track, and you were on the street, but at the track, we could rev it to like 4.5k, drop it and it still barely spun at all. try like 3k or so. DeViL 05-03-2003, 09:46 PM what the heck does a ser and a h22 engine put out civicHBsi91 05-03-2003, 11:49 PM horsepower and torque DeViL 05-04-2003, 02:20 AM haha a Honda? Putting out torque? What is this engine some kind of miracle worker? :smoka: Seriously though what how much does it put out? civicHBsi91 05-04-2003, 02:16 PM depends on which h22 93-00 jdm 200hp 161trq 93-00 usdm 190hp 156trq 97-98 jdm type s 220hp 153trq i have no clue what that year SER puts out Strider Negro 05-04-2003, 02:32 PM to my knowledge(i may be wrong) they put out 140 hp... dolla_bill0913 05-04-2003, 02:49 PM Originally posted by Strider Negro to my knowledge(i may be wrong) they put out 140 hp... Dont doubt yourself, cause your right, 140hp and 132 torque carrrnuttt 05-20-2003, 11:03 AM FYI, 91-93 Sentra SE-Rs are capable of 15.1-15.2s stock, and mid-high 14's with bolt-ons. Project_88crx 05-22-2003, 09:57 PM se-r's are good cars. my friend has two. a 91 and a 94. the 94 has a jdm sr20 in it. his 91 ser hit mid 15's stock and his 94 ser hit a 15.1 with the basic bolt ons but he couldn't get any traction so he is very capable of high 14's. don't underestimate the classic se-r's :flash: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
