Engine question

I'm just curious on what engine the 5th Gen DX's came with, my buddy blew his and the only salvageable parts were the block and the tranny so i wanted 2 know what the engine model was, and also would his Tranny work on my D15? if not then i'll see if its ok with him for me 2 put it in the classefieds for sale so he can get some extra cash lol but i need 2 ask him first

5th gen DX/LX came wiht a D15B7. 1.5L SOHC NON VTEC MPFI making 102hp.

and his tranny will technically work with your engine, but the 5th gen's have a hydrolic clutch and the mounts are a little different. this is why a b16 will bolt directly into a 5th gen but not a 4th gen.
