300 ZX VS Supra TT

which will win...my bro kept on arguing that the 300 ZX will win....stock for stock..So which will win?

i mean a 300 ZX TT

LOL, a 300ZX dosn't stand a chance.

A Supra TT with a good driver will do mid 13's stock.
A 300ZX will be lucky to pull mid 14's stock.

I love Nissans, but for a similar engine.. Nissan should have put a straight 6 in the Z..
The V6 3L TT is pathetic really.. but good with some mods.

The I6 3L TT in the supra goes alot harder..

The driver makes the biggest difference when the cars are in the same league as these are. The Supra is the stronger car, but that doesn't mean an automatic win.

If the drivers were equal, then the Supra would win hands down.

The Supra may breed more HP stock for stock... However, the FairLady "Z" TT from 91 - 96 had more torque, weighed 550 lbs less, and had a 2:1 stronger gearing differential...

Not only that, but the freaking Supra Slow Mobile cost almost 8 grand more than the "Z" year over year....

Wake up nearsighted "Toy" Supra fans!!!! The Fairlady "Z" was not only a better machine, but it was also a better buy.

Toyota will constantly strive to make a better sports cars than the "Z" and the "Skyline GTR".... To no end they will always fail... Mainly due to the lack of enginuity, imagination, and incompentance of TRD (Toyota Racing Development), and the money hungry fat cats in their product yeild department. Quit blowing your hard earned dough on a sinner, and pick-up a winner!! After all, what good does it serve to own a 45k Supra if it's at your nearest Toyota dealer for repairs every other day??

Well I am actuall a 100% Nissan fan.. but when it comes to the 300ZX TT.. I have no respect.
It does tune ok.. but compared to the straight 6 from the Skyline and Supra... No competition.

The Supra is a better car... hell my 2L skyline is a better car than the 300ZX TT..

I think you need to stop quoting books and torque and weight figures and go and drive some of these cars...

And anyway.. if it was a competition for looks.. the 300ZX is an ugly child of the Nissan family..

I have driven both of these cars, I work at a toyota dealer and my best friend drives a z32 w/ JDM vg30dett swap. The engines have about the same power potential it's just more common to see a 2jz built to the higher end of the spectrum but it's fact that the fastest Z will destroy the fastest supras on the drag strip(escort engine service z32/Titan motorsports supra drag car) and road coarses, nissans most succesfull race cars were powered by vg30's such as the three time IMSA gt Champ NPT-90 and the GTP-ZXT. The VG30 is also a more advanced powerplant implimenting vvt long before it was available on a JZ motor and due to its over square design as apposed to the 2jz's square design it is much happier at high RPM's. The biggest player in terms of performance difference though is the Chassis/Suspension design. The Z is superior to Supra in Terms of Handling(agility) and ability to put the power these vehicles are capable of when modified to the ground, check your local drag strip to witness 600hp Z's smoking 800hp Supras. There is truth to all the jokes you hear about 1200hp supras not running even elevens, this and more comming from a supra fan who is willing to be honest rather than indulge in automotive elitism.

This question comes up time and time again...... the fact is....both win. Being an owner of both, i know the ups and downs of each first hand. It all comes down to preferance. The one thing i can be sure of and that i will say is that the Supra has a bit more power, They are both equally reliable, and despite popular 'yota fan belief, the 300zx has an unbelievable advantage in the sence that it is more agile and handles every turn better than the supra can even dream of doing. They are both beastly.. If you ever get to drive either of these, you should be happy. They are about the same in performance, engine wise, even though the supra holds a badge with twenty more horses...odd. And personally, i think the 300zx looks like the sexy car that the supra wanted to be....sad. BUT the supra holds a few more advantages, no lifter tick which the 300zx commonly had and the gearbox happens to be a bit stronger. Dollar for dollar it is about the same on upgrades too. The 300zx performs better with less though, i.e. 700hp 300 beats 900 supra. Fact is i would stick with 300, but love the supra too

na it never beats the 300zx stock car of the year 6 times in a row and watch the video at the bottom

Supra TT is a super sports car. Even though the manufacturing has been stopped, there is a lot of market for used Supra TT carsss.
