when i got my car, it didnt come with the remote so i had to go to the dealership to buy one, they programed it there for free, all he did was put the key in and out of the ignition 3 times and some other stuff that I forgot. I would just go to the dealership, it takes them about 2 min to reprogram it.

I dont remember, thats why i think you should just go to a nissan dealership, or try to call one and ask them how to program it.

Mine came with keyless entry but they didnt have any of the remotes, the remote from the dealer was $85. Under the climate control, next do the emergency flasher button, do you have one that says security? If so you car should have keyless entry, but the people you bought it from might have lost the remote.

The nissan dealership where I got my remote sucks. I went there when the new se-r sentras came in, and wanted to test drive one because nissan sent me this thing where if I test drove one, and had a sales guy sign it, they would send me free stuff. Anyways, I called to set up an appointment and the sales guy I was talking with didnt know anything. He told me that the spec-v "goes 10 miles an hour faster than the base model" instead of it has 10 more horsepower, he also said a bunch of other stupid stuff that I dont remember. Then when I went there, I said I'm not dealing with him and give me someone who knows what they are talking about. So they got me a manager who was talking with some 16-17 year old boys about the car, and just got done taking it for a test drive. So I said I wanted to take it for a test drive, and he told me no because it was a 6-speed and I could drive the auto one. He also told me that this is the new skyline and the strut tower brace keeps the wheels on straight. And this was the manager! I love being a girl...

WOW those guys are dumass's, i took my mom to check out the spec V last year for her opinion okay so we took it for a test drive, i peel off on the lot and on second gear and shit it was strong. First car i ever drove with that much power, they didnt have any problem letting me test drive the 6speed one. But the the sales man BLAST the freaken speakers right in to my moms ears in the back seat allright!! ohhh ya my mom is gona love this car now. How stuped are these sales men, then can never tell you the correct spec's on the cars too. ohh well didnt buy it from that lozer:bloated: :bloated:

I had to program my remote for my s14 as well... here's how I did it.

1. Unlock door, get in car, close door.

2. Lock the door with the power lock button.

3. Insert the key into the ignition and take it back out quickly approx 3-6 times. not sure on the exact number required but both of your turn signal lights on your dash will flash like if your hazards were on. this means it's in programming mode.

4. Now, press the lock button on the remote, and if you did everything correctly the doors should unlock. Repeat this step for each remote you have.

you could also just take it to the dealer and they will reprogram it for you for free.

and then if it doesnt work...does that mean my remote is bad? its got a new battery, cause the hazard lights did come on and i pressed the button when the lights were on or does the botton have to be pressed in between the light flashes, or some crazy shiz like that...

yeah if it doesnt work then your remote is most likely bad. my friend tried the same exact thing on his 95 right after I did it on mine and his didnt work. he bought a new remote and then tried it again and it worked fine then. when i did it, i just pushed the lock button while the lights were still flashing. worked the first time for me... well almost, hehe. make sure you have your battery in the right way. I had mine upside down at first and it wasnt working. when i flipped the battery over it worked.
