1991 4x4 rebuild wont start help

we have just pulled out head resurfaced and put engine back together now it won't start tried the timing and checked for fuel but wont start the only way it starts now is with brake fluid in the intake but that only fires up and won't stay idle someone help been working on it for a week already

Would help to know the engine type and mileage, plus info on why the head was removed in the first place . If timing checks out and cam & crank are properly synched, then it's either poor spark or no gas. Check the main fuses, ignition coil, and fuel pressure.

91 toyota pick up 4x4 v6 3.0 engine had a blown head gasket but before it started up and kept idle. now after taken apart and put back together it cranks but immediately dies after if given gas now it will stay on 3000+rpm any solutions? 190000 miles

With very little to go on, it sounds like an intake leak anywhere from flow metering to manifold interfaces.
BRAKE FLUID??? Really? It is nonflammable. So it might be viscous enough to be blocking the leak.
