I have a 91 metro 5 speed manual transmission and 1.0 engine and wonder if it is possible to install into a 96 metro 5 speed manual with 1.0 engine. What problems to face?

The 1996 model had an OBDII system so the wiring is different. In order to make the 1.0L from an older Metro work in a newer 1996+ car, you will have to use your intake and you will have to transfer the oil pan, oil pump, crank sensor, crank gear, timing belt, and cam gear.

The block and head are the same.

Thanks much, I guess I will try and rebuild the 96 engine this summer...seems like that would be a better option. Regards, Jack
