Need owners/repair manual for escort 99John00 01-30-2010, 01:18 AM Thank you. Davescort97 01-30-2010, 03:10 AM Welcome to AF! You can get a Haynes repair book at most larger parts houses. Most libraries have the Chilton repair manuals. The Haynes book is very good. They are about $16. daniel_brown3262 05-17-2010, 04:18 AM John, check out this Ford Escort repair manual (http://www.1aauto.com/1A/repairmanual/Ford/Escort/1AMNL00021/219735) at 1aauto.com. They are offering a 10 percent discount on it along with free shipping. They also have in house experts to help you in case you have questions. ricebike 05-17-2010, 01:23 PM free on autozone.com if you're just looking for general repair procedures FordMan59 05-17-2010, 07:57 PM If you want a repair manual you can buy a Haynes at most Auto Zone or Advance Auto Parts stores for around $20. I'd also suggest checking out eBay, I've seen used ones sell on eBay for $5. or less before. Chilton's also makes a repair manual for '91-up Escorts, it's a little bit more expensive, but well worth the extra few dollars it costs. I've used both Chilton's and Hanyes, my preference is Chilton's, because they give more details and list more specifications. catnapped 05-23-2010, 06:03 PM Not necessarily the most convenient, but I think Ford themselves used to have downloadable owners manuals on one of their websites robinosp 07-30-2010, 06:07 PM Gave in to the experts along with a hefty price tag. Oh well it's hot zzyzzx2 08-02-2010, 07:53 AM Use factory service manuals are often available cheaply on eBay. Ones on CD are even cheaper. Cheaper than a crappy new Haynes or Chilton manuals. Davescort97 08-04-2010, 02:37 AM Get a CD on ebay. They are the best. zzyzzx2 08-04-2010, 08:02 AM I have both the printed version and the version on CD, and I personally use the printed version much more, but one also needs to take into account that I'm an old fart.
