passenger rear vibration

my buddy just bounced his car off the curb and i was wounderin what would cause the howl and vibration coming from the rear end. its not the tire. he said he swapped the tire/rim cause he swapped it to the driver side and the passenger side still howls/vibrates at all speeds. could it be bearing or something else. if so how will i tell. any help would be awesome cause im not to into the rear independent suspension. thank you for takin the time to read

Not being familiar with the fusion rear suspension myself, several things come to mind. The rim could be bent and or tire out of balance. As you mentioned the bearing could have been damaged or the spindle bent. Could also have knocked the rear end out of alignment.

I'd go along with the spindle being bent and the wheel bearing going out because of that. Jack it up and spin the wheel. With it making that much noise I'll guarantee that you'll find the problem.
