On to a new build then. This will be a quicky. I'm not going to super detail this one. I just want it build and pay good attention to the paintfinish.
This is the kit.

I started with the wheels. They're hard and a little bit crude. I sanded them and painted the GoodYear logos on it.

On to the seat. As I don't like driverfigures in static cars I had to modify the seat. Specialy the backrest had to transformed. I did it with Tamiya-putty. I will cover the rest off the seat with cf-decal and cloth. Also the seatbelts will be made.

Wings painted and decalled. Front and rear-wing. I choose the roadcourse car because I like the wings better over the oval set-up.

The needs a two tone paintjob. On the decalsheet there are golden stripes and I couldn't figure out how to put them on and mask the white part off the body in order to get the part wich is supposed to be green. Therefor I decalled the body with the golden decalstripes. Verry unusual, I know:jerking:, but for me this was the right way to go. After decalling I will spray a thin coat off clear. Mask the body and spray the green. This is the work sofar.

I prayed the engine in different shades off Alclad-II and sprayed some heatstaines. The stands for the rearwing will be covered in cf-decal.

Till the next up-date, thanks for watching.

I think that was a good idea putting the gold stripes on first so you can mask exactly where you have too. Very interesting subject matter.

A little up-date. Decalling the car further was a crime. I think the decals are verry old. The glue came with it and they broke on several places. It was hell:evillol: off a job to spare them as much as I could. I post two pictures off the final result.

Now I have to let it harden for at least a week. After that I can polish it out and put the rest together.
Till then....
