I have a 96 cougar, when I try to start it it has to crank for 30 seconds or longer. When it does start it runs and drives fine.Any ideas? I have already done plugs, fuelfilter and a TPS.

Check the fuel pressure at the rail. It should be about 55lbs. Fuel pump could be weak and be keeping it from starting until the pressure builds up. Turn the key to ON. Can you hear the fuel pump running? If so it is all right and you need to replace the fuel pressure regulator if you don't have enough pressure at the fuel rail which feeds the injectors.
