From a squeak to a CLUNK!

Here is my problem I'm hoping to solve. 2004 montana that here in Michigan when it gets cold I get what I can best describe as a CRUNCHING noise from up front on take off from stop. Sounds basically like a rubber component rubbing on metal. Only happens when outside temp gets to 40deg or so, and if I hold brake with van in drive then rev engine I can get noise to occur. (vehicle, wheels, axles not turning) Here is where things get a little more interesting. Today I noticed that if from a stop if I start, put in gear, hold brake, and accelerate, I get a really goos clunk that shakes the whole vehicle. If I then put van in reverese hold brake and accelerate I get another clunk.

Could this be a motor/trans mount? the mounts on top of engine look fine. Does this have lower engine/ trans mounts and where are they located.
Thanks in advance.

As a suggestion, surf entire post at:

As stated in this link, perhaps a replaced GM factory stablizer bar, or 3rd party "much thicker / stronger" replacement bar is the answer...

Hope this helps...
