Replacing E34 525tds wagon engine with current 3.0 6 turbodiesel?

Hello,

is it reasonably convenient (similar to identical old engine swap) to replace E34 525tds wagon diesel engine with its modern counterpart, ex. 3.0 6cyl. turbodiesel? Or should one forget about such thoughts?
