Anyone figure out where this is coming from? No stains along the walls that could indicate a gasket failure and coming down into the wheel well. Perhaps coming up from underneath? Jeepers!

Try getting in the trunk with a flashlight with a friend running a water hose along the rear window and other areas.

Trunk water leak test -
1) Open trk
2) Get a garden hose with a little water pressure.
3) Set the garden hose on the rear window, and let the water roll onto the rear window, gutters, and behind your tail lights into your lower trunk.
4) Use Black Doors & windows sealent, and apply a bead of sealent on the other rear of tail light lens.

The trunk thing is crazy enough to work! Actually, one of the tail lights is a junkyard special replacement, it may very well be the leaker. Funny thing is, I also had a Toyota Corolla that got water in the trunk all the time and I never figured out from where.

It's just a water test, see http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=893556
