I have this same problem...mine goes dead after a couple of days of not using it...I did notice that when I turned the car off i can still hear some noise behind the radio... I would think that there is a relay stuck that is not allowing a thing to turn off and causing it to drain...hope this helps!!!

I was begining to suspect the factory fitted cd autochanger and radio might be the problem then somone told me its the alternator so im no further forward but i will have a look around the radio and see what i come up with.

More than likely, folks, what you're hearing after you turn off the ignition is the computer in shutdown mode. One thing I've noticed when mine was going flat was when I left the doors unlocked the computer would remain on for a long time and run down the battery and when the battery is low there are other electric gizmos that turn on emergency mode and overnite kill the battery.
Tell me if you have experienced anything like this.

Before undertaking expensive or time consuming "try and see" repairs, check the interior light in the trunk - it has been known to stay on which will eventually drain a battery.

You don't have to climb inside and shut the lid, just open the trunk and put you hand on the lamp, if it is boiling, you just found the problem.

if its possible, then please do a closed circuit current measurement, check if there are current leakage after the computer has shut down,

If the car has automatic air find the final stage resistor(blower motor resistor) and see if it is hot when the car is off. It's underneath the dash and on that year car I think it is on the drivers side. They are known for shorting and pulling current when the car is off.

I have a 94 318i. This happened to me once. I checked with my technician. According to him it’s a short in the alternator.

I have this same issue...mine goes deceased after a short time of not using it...I did observe that when I converted the car off i can still listen to some disturbance behind the stereo... I would think that there is a communicate trapped that is not enabling a factor to convert off and resulting in it to strain...hope this works.

An assortment power, like the every-day type used in household equipment, is a set of electrochemical tissues that turn substance power into electrical power.
